I once read a story of somebody bumping into him with astonishment at the Sharon Heights Safeway near campus — which conjured in my mind the absurdist scenario of encountering Marx browsing the aisles for lawn chairs and beer coolers at a US Walmart, perhaps to enjoy festival seating at a Stones concert.
